The  local private newspaper "Dvazhdy Dva" was established by two journalists: Tatyana Kuznetsova and Igor Dylev in 1991. It was the beginning of ?perestroika?, crazy inspiring   time when Russian journalists believed to ideas of   press freedom and democracy. We believed that those fantastic ideals could be realized in our country. Two colleagues did not practically have any start capital but they had a great enthusiasm and good journalistic skill. They managed to gather smart  and successful oriented staff to produce a good news paper. Furthermore, because of Igor Dylev good contacts with the Norwegian media, he managed to get for almost free of charge an equipment for the own printed house. He just arranged an exchange with Alta community: used print equipment from the paper Altaposten for? dismissed Russian submarine. Own printed house has helped for the young paper a lot. Now Dvazhdy Dva prints not only own  production but some other local papers in the area. Editorial staff puts a lot of efforts to keep running good journalistic product. The paper is getting more and more popular among the population. The circulation has been grown up from 1 thousand copies till 9 thousand now. The paper fulfills absolutely independent politics and always considers the interests of the readers as a main focus of its activity. Kuznetsova is retired now but Igor Dylev being a very popular journalist (he writes weekly his editors column) still succeeds to be a good entrepreneur. Economical situation of the paper is stabile, advertises bring good incomes. The paper also organizers many different concurrences and other creative projects for the readers. Right now they are running photo competition ?Hard  winter time  ? So what? We are still alive?.  Important part of the paper activity and publications are connected with a development of tourist branch in Apatity and idea to make it world known ski resort.  The paper has not decreased the circulation in spite of the crisis. In 2009 was organized international snow festival «Music of snow». Vladimir is planning to organize first ice festival behind Polar circle in Russia next winter. Now is planning to attract Barents region partners for participation at this festival. Thanks to participation in conference «Barents tourism: today and tomorrow» he have got acquainted with other entrepreneurs from Scandinavian: for example, with Ville from Arcticsnowhotel, Rovaniemi. And now it is planning cross-border cooperation.

At once «Snezhnaya Derevnya» became brend of Murmansk region. Information about  hotel was published not only in Russian, but in Finnish newspapers and websites (aamulehti, lapin kansa, pohjolan sanomat). It was awarded as «unique tourist project» by Murmansk region goverment in 2009. And in 2010 it was awarded as « the most perspective project» by North chamber of commerce and industry of Murmansk region.

In the 1970s, Tauno Juntikka was still working at various power plant construction sites. Back home in the Ylipaakkola village of Tervola, his wife was busy tending to their cows and looking after their nine children. When small-scale farming turned out to be all too demanding in relation to its earnings, Tauno converted the cattle barn into an auto repair shop, and spent the next five or so years repairing the cars of his village neighbours.

The path of one of Tauno?s sons, Tuomo Juntikka, led to Sweden and gradually to the position of project engineer for KOPO-MASKIN LTD in the town of Haaparanta. He spent several years working on the implementation of conveyor projects in Sweden, until he finally decided to approach his brothers with the idea of establishing their own company, Paakkolan Kone ja Metalli Ltd. During the same year, he also decided to further his studies by entering the Luleå University of Technology in Sweden.

On the home front, the brothers continued running their machinery workshop, which manufactured customised products for deliveries as far away as Norway. The barn became too small for the company?s operations already within the first year. As a result, a larger production facility was built in 1980, but the need for more space continued to grow along with the company?s activities, and a new surface finishing annex was built in 1982.

When Tuomo Juntikka graduated in the mid-1980s, he spoke to his brothers about his idea to specialise in the production of conveyors alongside the company?s machining operations. They applied to the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation (Tekes) for a product development grant, which enabled them to manufacture their first conveyor systems. In 1989, the barn was knocked down to make way for the new extension.

Specialisation has truly paid off! The company was handed over to the next generation and Tuomo?s son, Tommi, took his place at the helm. What was once a family business has grown into an international company; a growing employer with a broad customer base throughout the Nordic countries.

Motivation
The success of Lyngen Lodge started around 3 years ago. After approx
10 years og teaching skiing and leading ski expeditions to remote
mountain ranges around the world Graham Austick and Elisabeth Braathen came
across the Lyngen Alps of Northern Norway. So impressed by the regions
beauty and potensial they relocated and built the Lyngen Lodge.

Elisabeth Braathen was born in Trondheim Norway and has worked in
management in the skiing industry since 1999 across Europe. Elisabeth
mangages Lyngen Lodge on a daily basis, whilst Austick,an Englishman,
mostly deals with guests leading tours as mountain guide.
The Lyngen Lodge  provides a combination of luxury full board
accommodation and mountain, fjord and river based adventures
throughout the Lyngen Alps region.

Located on the stunning Lyngen Fjord with spectacular views over the
